Book Week gets them excited about stories.

We make them fall in love with writing.

I can't do what you do, get them to hold their ideas to use later, to connect them in different ways. So fabulous!

My students are often so disengaged. They can't imagine anymore. It's so important to see them creating from abstract ideas

What your students will take away

Every Saci Books incursion is designed around a single promise: every child in the room will have a story that is entirely their own. By the end of the session, students will have:

  • Found their story. Using the Pixar Story Spine, students learn that all great stories follow a shape — and once they see it, they can use it themselves. Every student leaves with a complete original story: a character, a conflict, and an ending they invented.
  • Broken through the blank page. Our improvisation warm-ups are designed specifically to unlock creative confidence before pen meets paper. Students who say they "can't write" discover they've been storytelling all along.
  • Practised real writing craft. Students explore character voice, dialogue, narrative tension, and plot — through play rather than instruction. The skills are genuine; the learning feels effortless.
  • Built confidence to share. Every session ends with students sharing their work in a low-stakes, celebratory way. For reluctant writers especially, this moment matters.

About Us

At Saci Books, we believe a little mischief can spark a lot of imagination. Inspired by Saci Pererê, the cheeky one-legged trickster of Brazilian folklore, we create screen-free kits and storytelling resources that help kids write, draw, and bring their own stories to life.

Just like Saci hides socks, swaps items, or braids horse manes, our playful products encourage curiosity, laughter, and creative problem-solving—while giving parents peace of mind and teachers ready-to-use classroom activities.

From comic book kits to storytelling chatterboxes, every programme is designed to:

  • Inspire imagination and storytelling skills
  • Keep kids engaged during school holidays, rainy days, or classroom activities
  • Celebrate cultural richness in a fun and playful way

We want children across Australia to say, “Saci did it!”, and in that moment, spark their creativity, explore folklore, and experience the joy of making something uniquely theirs.

Saci is our hero of hilarity, and through him, we bring fun, creativity, and a touch of chaos to every story, every kit, and every child who joins our adventure.

Who am I?

Trained at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and having studied under renowned figures in children’s literature, including Julia Donaldson, author of The Gruffalo, I bring a wealth of experience and passion to inspire and empower young minds. With a unique blend of skills from over twenty-two years in sustainable architecture and urban design, along with my deep love for reading, writing, and illustration, I offer a cross-disciplinary approach to nurturing creativity in children.

I created Saci Books to give children a platform to bring their own stories to life, combining my passion for literature with a belief in the power of storytelling to inspire confidence, curiosity, and self-expression.

Through Saci Books, I aim to nurture young voices and make publishing an accessible and exciting journey for every child.

I am proud to have published The Boy Who Didn’t Like the Night and Who Has the Key to Lockdown as the first step in creating Saci Books.

As an Amazon #1 bestseller and a published author in the esteemed literary magazine Puentes Review, I am committed to providing a rich and engaging learning experience that fosters both imagination and critical thinking.
