Make Magic

Foster curiosity, creativity and critical thinking in your child

Workshops

In this exciting and screen free two-day holiday program or during term after school, young creators dive into the world of storytelling, plotting, and planning to bring their own book ideas to life! Through a blend of design thinking, graphic design, art, and creative teamwork, children will not only plot their story but also learn how to shape it visually and structurally.

Using paper and pen in class, they’ll master the basics of storytelling while being introduced to techniques for designing and assembling their books, fostering skills they can later take to digital tools too. This hands-on workshop encourages children to take creative risks, embrace mistakes, and experience the thrill of transforming ideas into something tangible, all in a fun and supportive space.

Our exclusive methodology created by our founder was born from more than twenty years of a multidisciplinary career that goes from motherhood to design, Shakespearean theater to best-selling author and ethics teaching. It mixes improvisation, design process, creative writing, project management and much more. It's a methodology that encourage students to create freely within a flexible structure.

It's great to have the kids go through the process of creating a book, super educational and fun!

Ben M., father of 1

I loved that they got the planner with their story and also the paper book they've been showing friends and family.

Rebecca S., mother of 2

I'm so happy! I can't believe I finished a book. I was at home just drawing stories after stories and now I have a book. With a cover and everything!

It was the first time I had seen her write a story with a proper introduction, development, turn, and conclusion. I thought it was a really good contents and educational for kids.

Frequently asked questions

My child is is not very confident in writing yet. Can they participate?

Yes—absolutely! Our camp is designed to support children of all writing levels, including those who are just beginning or still developing their confidence. In fact, this is the perfect environment for them.

We focus on imagination first—children are encouraged to express their ideas through drawing, storytelling, and play-based activities. For younger participants or reluctant writers, our facilitators help them bring their stories to life through oral storytelling, picture planning, and guided support.

By the end of the camp, every child leaves with a storybook they’ve helped create—boosting their confidence, communication skills, and love for storytelling.

No writing experience needed—just curiosity and creativity!

Will the children be grouped by age or level?

Children naturally gravitate towards others with similar interests and creative styles. We guide them gently and flexibly, allowing them to work at their own pace, whether independently or in small groups. Age and level are considered, but we prioritise comfort, creativity, and confidence.

Will my child actually create a complete book?

Yes! Each child will create their very own book from start to finish—handwritten, illustrated, and designed by them. By the end of the camp, they’ll have a physical book to take home, along with a huge sense of pride.

Plus, you’ll also receive a free digital template to recreate their book on an online publishing platform. If you choose, you can even help them publish it through Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing)!

That said, every child is different—some love to spend time perfecting their drawings or dreaming up elaborate plots. While many will finish their books at camp, others might bring theirs home to keep working on at their own pace. We support both approaches and celebrate the creative journey, not just the end result.

How do you support children with learning differences or neurodiversity?

We welcome children of all learning styles and abilities, and our workshops are designed to be inclusive, engaging, and flexible. We use a variety of approaches—drawing, movement, storytelling games, and visual prompts—to support different ways of thinking and communicating.

Our standard facilitator-to-child ratio is 1:10, with a maximum of 1:14, which allows us to offer attentive support in a small group setting.

If your child requires specific support to participate fully (e.g., due to neurodiversity, developmental delay, behavioural or sensory needs), please let us know at least two weeks in advance so we can explore how best to accommodate their needs. In some cases, we may recommend bringing a support worker, carer or trusted adult to ensure your child has the best experience possible.

Please note: while we aim to be inclusive, we are a small group program and not a specialised therapeutic or support setting. If a child’s needs are significantly beyond what we can safely accommodate within the group—such as persistent running from the room, heightened distress, or frequent disruption—we may need to pause or end their participation, in consultation with parents, to ensure a positive environment for everyone.

Can I enrol for just one day or part of the week?

Yes! While we recommend joining for the full experience, single-day or part-week bookings are welcome, depending on availability. Please email us to discuss options and reserve your child’s place.
