Once a month, an envelope arrives. Inside, a whole world.
The Trail Mail is a monthly physical letter and paper goodies that takes you and your children to a new world through your letterbox. Each month, your child receives a beautiful envelope containing an original story featuring Saci and friends, characters drawn from the rich and playful world of Brazilian folklore (with a few original faces of their own).
This isn't just a story to read and put away. Every issue invites your child to become part of the adventure with a collectable card, a postcard to send to their own friends and family, a sticker sheet, a recipe inspired by the setting, and an invitation to write (or draw) what happens next.
What's inside each envelope:
An original story featuring Saci, Curupira, Boto, Iara and friends written by Maíra Metelo, the best-selling author and founder of Saci Books.
A collectable card featuring a character or creature from this month's story, with fun facts to discover
Paper goodies including postcards to send to your friends and family, bookmarks or activities
Stickers to keep, swap or decorate your water bottle, notebook or wherever you see it fit with characters, animals, creatures and much more.
A recipe card with a simple, kid-friendly recipe connected to the story.
A creative prompt to trigger yours and your child's imagination while improving their writing and illustration skills.

*This is NOT a subscription. You pre-pay the number of months you want and that's it. No extra charges. At the end of your time, you'll have the option to purchase a new series.
*Image is indicative only. Every month, a different story, card, recipe and the other paper goodies will change. Accessories and objects shown on the images are not included such as pencils, compass, plants, bags and others

Materials
All items will be made from paper. We source suppliers that use FSC certified paper or recycled paper.
Stickers will have a plastic, rubber and/or glue component. We avoid non-degradable materials but sometimes it's inevitable due to the nature of stickers.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
How long will my order take to arrive?
We issue the mail to everyone between the 14th and 16th of every month depending on weekend days. Typical delivery timeframes are as per below:
- Australia Post Standard: 3–7 business days within Australia.
- Australia Post Express: 1–3 business days within Australia.
- International orders may take 15–20 business days, depending on the destination.
- Other couriers may have a different time frame.
How can I track my order?
- We have no enabled tracking number for the Trail Mail or it would be costly prohibitive to send it to you. We trust in the post service and couriers. If you prefer
What if my order is lost or damaged?
- Contact us at hello@sacibooks.com within 7 days of the expected delivery date.
- We’ll work with Australia Post and our couriers to replace or refund your order if appropriate.
Do I need to pay for shipping?
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and delivery method.
- Occasionally, we may offer free shipping promotions – these will be shown at checkout.
What if I entered the wrong address?
- Please double-check your delivery details before confirming your order.
- We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses.
Are there customs fees for international orders?
- International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by the destination country.
- These are the responsibility of the recipient.
How can I return my letters?
If you're not happy with the story, you must notify us within the following timeframes for a full refund:
- An Australian address: 3 weeks of the mailing date
- International Addresses: 7 weeks of the mailing date.
After the above timeframes we will refund you for future letters that have not yet been processed or sent.
For instance, if you purchased a 3-month package for an Australian address and notified us within the 5 weeks, we will refund you for the remaining 1-month left since we would have sent the second letter already. You're welcome to keep the letters you have already received.

- This is not a toy. For art & craft use only.
- Recommended for children 6 years and older.
- Not suitable for children under 3 years due to potential small parts.
- Paper and stickers are flammable — keep away from heat and open flames.
- Edges of the paper goodies may become sharp and cut skin or cornea (eyes). Do not place any items close to yours or anyone's eyes. Do not use the paper to create paper planes or throw at someone.
- Do not place in mouth.

FAQ
How do I make sure the letter arrives in my child's name?
- When you checkout, add the recipient's name (your child/children or person you're gifting it to) in the DELIVERY information. Your details as the purchaser will go in the billing details. Even if your letter is coming to your home making the shipping and billing address the same, make sure you add your child's or children name in the delivery section.
What if I need to change my delivery address?
- Easy-peasy! Just email us and we'll change it for you. Please be mindful we deliver the letters around the 15th of every month, so any changes need to be at least 3 days prior to that to make sure it will be captured. It's also a good idea to get your mail redirected with your local post to avoid lost correspondence.
What if my letter doesn't arrive?
- It can take up to 2 weeks (6 internationally) for your mail to arrive. If after all that waiting you still haven't received it, check your receipt's delivery address. If it's all correct, email us and we will either refund you, send you another one for that month or we'll add another month to your purchase.
